"She had an ink spot on her nose, the result of working on her novel of suspense. It is virtually impossible to write a novel of suspense without getting a certain amount of ink on the beezer.

Ask Agatha Christie or anyone."

Thank you for this link. I've been in love with this guy's talents ever since my younger son gave me a copy of Interesting Times. The interview is interesting. He talks near the end of a particular day when he decided "the hell with this; there must be something wrong." My solution is to write down, every half hour or so, where I am and what I'm doing. I hope I don't soon need more drastic measures.

@jsolberg - You're welcome.  I was very saddened by it.  I heard it from a friend a few days ago.  Terry Pratchett has been a favorite of mine every since I stumbled upon "Rincewind the Wizzard" at my local library, and he has inspired my writing in many ways, especially in my novel "A Siren for the Dead."  He taught me a lot about writing, and about creating a character that isn't nessessarily a human.  He's a great man.
